Students worked on their biome projects and had two math lessons today. I read to the class the Legend of the Lady Slipper and the class looked for examples of foreshadowing in the text and in the illustrations.

Anthologies and both Student Reference Books will be collected Monday, June 14.

Our end of the year party will take place Thursday starting at 1:30 at the school’s playground. Please make sure your child has protection against the sun and has dressed appropriately for the day.

Homework:

Math – j.p. the review and s.l. are due Friday

Students worked on their biomes project in the morning. We also had a double session of math today. We looked at how to find the unit cost of an item. We had visitors from Baldwin Library talk about their summer reading program.

We went over our unit 11 math tests today.

Students then wrapped up the last of their biographies, reflections, science packets,etc. in the morning.

We had our second I and E session where we found the area of irregular polygons.

Students began work on their biome projects today.

We continued to develop our understanding of rates in math.

Journal Pages and StudyLink for lesson 12.2

Science packets due Monday.

We wrote reflections on our favorite writing piece from this year. These reflections will be placed in their portfolios.

We discussed rates in math.
